Two New Physicians Join Bassett Family Practice

Since January 2008, Bassett Family Practice has built its patient base at a rapid rate. The demand for a community health center in this particular area has proved to be imperative, as patients continue to flood the doors. It is BFP's goal to serve the needs of those patients that present themselves at the practice, that is why we are excited to announce that we have TWO new practitioners that have joined our ranks: Dr. Robert Albanese and Dr. Jeanne Flowers.
Prior to joining BFP, Dr. Albanese attended Georgetown University where he received his medical degree. Since then he has served active duty as Medical Officer in the US. Navy and worked in private practice in both Norfolk, Virginia and rural Eastern North Carolina, where he ran us own practice. He later moved to the Martinsville Henry County to join the ranks of Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry county as a full time emergency physician. While at the hospital, Dr. Albanese also filled numerous positions on multiple boards including president of the medical staff.Medical society affiliations for Dr. Albanese include the American Board of Emergency Medicine and Virginia Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians where he served on the board of directors for several years.
Dr. Flowers attended East Carolina University of Medicine where she received her medical degree in 1994. From there she went on to Carilion Health System, Family Medicine to complete her residency. Shortly thereafter she opened her own family practice in Stuart, Virginia, Stuart Family Practice Clinic, where she practiced medicine for 10 years. After leaving her practice in 2007, Dr. Flowers worked for the Heart and Vascular center, allowing her to treat patients in Patrick County, Virginia and Mount Airy, North Carolina, then for Caring Hearts Free Clinic in Stuart.
Current medical society affiliations for Dr. Flowers include the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Please help us to welcome our great new additions to the practice! For more information on either of the new practitioners or to make an appointment at BFP, please call 276-629-1076.
