THE MHC COALITION FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS NAMES HEALTH CONNECT DIRECTOR

Tuesday March 29, 2016
Martinsville, VA - (March 29, 2016) - The Martinsville-Henry County Coalition for Health and Wellness is proud to announce the addition of Suellyn Danter to our Health Connect team.

Health Connect is located in Uptown Martinsville and is a "one-stop shop" for individuals in Martinsville and Henry County who need help breaking through barriers to health and wellness, such as those who can't afford the costs of mammograms, eye care services and medications.

"Suellyn's duties include, but are not limited to, management of our community outreach programs; Ladies First, Eyes Forward and MedAssist," said the Coalition's Human Resources and Compliance Director, Marc Crouse. "She will also work closely with our partnering non-profits with the MHC Assistance program."

Danter graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor's degree in occupational and technical studies with a training emphasis. She is also an alumna of Patrick Henry Community College. Prior to accepting the position of Health Connect director, she served as the video/web conferencing technician at Norfolk State University, New College Institute and Patrick Henry Community College.

"Her wealth of experience and strong ties to the Martinsville-Henry County community will forge new partnerships with area agencies," said Brittany Anthony, marketing director for the Coalition.

"I am excited to be back in this tight-knit community and to be part of an organization that touches the lives of so many individuals in need. I am looking forward to partnering with some familiar faces, along with meeting new faces in the Martinsville-Henry County area, as well as the surrounding counties of Patrick and Franklin," said Danter.

Danter devotes her spare time advocating for animal rescue and wellness. She also enjoys horseback riding and other outdoor activities.
