100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge-REGISTRATION ONLY

December 1, 2013 thru January 5, 2014
Time: 8:30 AM - 11:55 PM

We hope that you will join us for our 2nd Annual 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge!

We are challenging YOU to walk/jog/run/hike 100 miles in 100 days! So lace up those shoes and let's get going!
Here's what you need to know:

Registration Period: Registration will start, Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. on our website.
Start and End Dates: January 3, 2014 is our starting date for the 2014 Challenge. This allows you to get through the holidays and settle back into day-to-day life. The end date will be April 12, 2014.

What we need from you:
1. You will need to register on our website. If you are registering other people in your household/family, you can add them during your own registration process. To view the registration process, take a look at these screenshots.

2. Pay your registration fee. You can pay your registration fee on-line via PayPal. PLEASE NOTE-YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO PAY ON-LINE! When using PayPal, you can enter your own credit/debit card information as you would with any other on-line shop/vendor. PayPal in our case acts like the "store". Also, if you are registering people in your household/family, PayPal will automatically recalculate your fees to reflect how many people you are registering. Click here to see a screenshot of what PayPal looks like if you enter your credit card info.

3. Take our Welcome Survey. This is important because this is where we learn about you the participant, but also where we get your shirt information. We must have one for each person registered for the challenge. No survey=no shirt.

So how does this work?
Track your own miles. The focus of the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge is to get YOU, the residents of MHC up and moving and making activity a regular part of your life, while also pushing yourself a bit! You can track your miles via a paper log or by signing up for a free RunKeeper.com account and using their website and/or free mobile app (available in iTunes and Google Play). You can connect to us on RunKeeper by looking up AppleMan.

What counts as activity? Walking, jogging, running, hiking. We know that it can be a difficult time of year to get outside, although we encourage you to bundle up and get outside! Sometimes despite our best efforts/intentions, the weather just doesn't cooperate with us, the use of walking dvd's, treadmills, elliptical, and stair climber machines are permitted. However, we will also provide a list of some indoor walking tracks that are open to the public!

What if I reach 100 miles before the end of the 100 days? YOU ROCK! By all means, KEEP GOING! We want to hear from you how many miles you can rack up!

Be sure to "like" the 100 Miles in 100 Days Facebook page to stay up to date with the Challenge, receive tips/articles, and interact with other challengers.

Have fun!
