Diabetes Education Begins-EC

Diabetes Education is designed to teach diabetics how to monitor their condition, improve their diet and to manage stress to more effectively control their diabetes. The Diabetes Education program offers information to make change easier and allow persons with diabetes to achieve and maintain better day-to-day health.

Healthy Lifestyles is designed to help better manage your weight, reduce the risk of illness or injury and lead you in the right direction for the healthier lifestyle you've been seeking.
Healthy Lifestyles is not a guaranteed "quick fix" to lose weight. A long term commitment is needed in order to be successful in changing your lifestyle. Healthy Lifestyles is designed to give you the power you need to make significant lifestyle changes.

A cardio/sculpt, workout that includes low/high impact, kickboxing, step, sculpt, etc. There will also be some exercises incorporated in your workout to strengthen abdominal muscles.

60-minute class includes light warm up, low impact cardio, strength training and muscle endurance. Flexibility will be highly emphasized towards the end of the class.
The class is specially designed to target the people who want to start working out, and begin an exercise program in a non-competitive setting. Moves will be varied for different levels of intensity.

A low impact, high-energy workout that includes various combinations of basic step, intervals and cardio techniques along with muscle conditioning using light weights and fit-balls. Also includes exercises to strengthen the abdominal muscles.

A combination of moves for any age or activity level, fun and motivating class! Anyone can do this class, excellent for all joints in the body, arthritis, hip replacements, or anyone that wants a low impact-on-the-joints-class. This class includes a great warm up, cardio fitness, strength training and flexibility cool down.

Staff from the Julius Hermes Breast Care Center of Memorial Hospital (JHBCC) donated $2125 to the Martinsville Henry County Coalition for Health and Wellness (the Coalition). The money was raised and donated in an effort to provide more uninsured women with screening mammograms.
